A Spring Wedding at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory in St. Paul, MN

If you are searching for a wedding venue in St. Paul, Minnesota that feels lush, timeless, and effortlessly romantic, a spring wedding at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is hard to beat. Corinne and Henri’s May 2025 celebration was one of those days that felt light, joyful, and beautifully organized from start to finish, the kind of wedding that reminds you why photographing love stories is such a gift.

A Love Story Years in the Making

Corinne and Henri are truly two of the loveliest humans I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Before their wedding day, I photographed their surprise engagement session and a family portrait session with their dogs, Joy and Teeter. Getting to document multiple chapters of their story made their wedding feel especially meaningful, like reuniting with old friends to celebrate something big.

Getting Ready in Downtown St. Paul

Henri spent the morning getting ready at home, surrounded by friends, laughter, and the relaxed energy that sets the tone for a great day. Corinne got ready downtown at Hyatt Place in downtown St. Paul, which offered beautiful natural light and plenty of space for calm, intentional moments before the ceremony.

One of my favorite details from the day was how prepared Corinne was. Every single item for her "detail" photos was thoughtfully gathered and ready to go. That level of organization makes such a difference, allowing more time for creativity and less time searching for missing pieces.

A Ceremony in the Sunken Garden

The Sunken Garden at Como was dressed for spring, overflowing with greenery and color, creating a natural backdrop that felt both elegant and inviting. Ceremonies here have a quiet magic. The space feels intimate while still being open and grand, making it ideal for couples who want a garden wedding without worrying about unpredictable outdoor conditions. Guests were visibly relaxed, soaking in the warmth and celebrating Corinne and Henri with full hearts.

Celebrating at St. Paul Brewing

As the evening grew closer, the celebration moved to St. Paul Brewing, which also happens to be one of my favorite breweries. The shift from garden elegance to cozy, vibrant brewery vibes felt effortless and true to who Corinne and Henri are. There was incredible energy in the room, great drinks, and the kind of conversations and laughter that only happen when everyone feels fully at ease. A surprise performance from a band Corinne loves was the perfect gift Henri could have given her, and they danced to an emotional first song before opening up the dance floor.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings Like This

This wedding was well organized, genuinely fun, and filled with warmth from start to finish. From the thoughtful planning to the way Corinne and Henri interacted with every guest, it was clear how loved they are. Days like this allow me to focus on storytelling, capturing real moments, and letting the day unfold naturally.

I truly hope I get to photograph these two again as life continues to bring new milestones their way!
