From Stolen Glances to Sunset Dances: Jillian & TJ’s Storybook Wedding
Jillian and TJ’s wedding at Trellis in Stillwater, Minnesota, felt like stepping into a hidden fairytale. Tucked away in an enchanted garden, this venue is lush with greenery and brimming with hidden pockets of beauty. As a photographer, it’s almost overwhelming how many picture-perfect spots there are, but in the best possible way! The vibrant flowers, romantic natural tree archways, and winding pathways offered endless opportunities for those magical, iconic photos that capture the essence of the day (scroll below to find my favorite photos from the day).
Both bride and groom created a celebration filled with warmth and sincerity, with many comforting stolen glances between the two of them no matter what was going on. From the moment I met their family, I could feel how much love surrounded them. By the end of the day, even the guests were encouraging me to put down the camera and join them on the dance floor! It’s moments like these that remind me why I love photographing weddings – I get to witness and be a part of such genuine joy and connection.
After the stunning ceremony in Trellis Weddings' garden paradise, the celebration continued at the Vadnais Heights Commons. The reception venue, with its warm wood tones and massive floor-to-ceiling windows, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of dancing and laughter. As the sun began to set, the room was bathed in a soft glow, creating a beautiful atmosphere for Jillian and TJ's first dance as husband and wife. It was a warm early August day, but by the evening, a cool breeze settled in, making for a perfect night.
From the heartfelt ceremony to the lively reception, Jillian and TJ’s wedding was a true reflection of their love and the close-knit relationships they cherish.
