Creative portraiture can be used to highlight a person's personality, profession, or interests, or to tell a story or convey a specific theme or concept. It often involves experimenting with different angles, perspectives, and post-processing techniques to create a truly original image. In essence, creative portraiture is an art form that allows me (the photographer) to express my creativity and vision while also capturing the essence of you (the subject) in a compelling way.

Two Sides of Femininity
This photoshoot was done to represent the clients two sides. Her cultural heritage and what she would wear on a more daily occurrence. We wanted to create moments of strength and softness to showcase femininity in more than one form. This shoot was done in the Spring in Golden Valley, MN.
Dark Witchy Water
The concept for this shoot was "Witchy, Water, Darkness". The location was Roseville, MN in the early fall. We decided to try and work with lighting to create the sense of darkness, mostly in shadow play and again in some post-edits. The witchy vibes came from outfit choice and makeup palette. And the water, well that came in lake form and we were very lucky it had remained warm enough to shoot in the fall.

Headshots Unlimited
Headshot portraiture is a specific style of portrait photography that typically focuses on capturing an individual's head and shoulders in a professional or polished manner. It is commonly used for professional purposes, such as business profiles, resumes, or acting/modeling headshots. Headshot portraiture typically aims to capture the subject's personality and professionalism, while also creating a visually appealing image that can be used for marketing or branding purposes.
